Confirmation

Confirmation is a Sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of Baptismal gifts. We receive the message of faith in a deeper manner; great emphasis is given to the person of Jesus Christ, who asked the Father to give the Holy Spirit to the Church for building up the community in loving service. The preparation process for Confirmation provides time to explore one’s Catholic identity and what it means to be an adult follower of Christ. Decision Point, our Confirmation program, teaches and inspires teens to respond to God’s grace. This program is one year long. For more information about Confirmation requirements, please click here or visit the Confirmation page under Sacraments.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Children

The process of becoming Catholic is formally known as the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCI).  The “rite of Christian initiation is intended for children not baptized as infants, who have attained the use of reason and are of catechetical age. They seek Christian initiation  either at the direction of their parents or guardians or, with parental permission, on their own  initiative. Such children are capable of receiving and nurturing a personal faith and of recognizing an obligation of conscience (From RCIA #252)”. For more information about RCIC, contact Maria Aricapa.
